Zur Gartenbewässerung und zum Gießen von Beeten kann man auch einen Perlschlauch nutzen. Bei diesem perlt das Wasser durch den Schlauch und wird so sehr dosiert und langsam abgegeben. Im Regelfall kann man mit einem Perlschlauch viel Wasser sparen. Perlschlauch und Tropfschlauch sind nahezu identische Produkte.
Alternativen zum Perlschlauch können Sprühschläuche (siehe Ratgeber Sprühregner) oder normale Gartenschläuche (siehe Ratgeber Gartenschläuche) sein.
Perlschlauch oder Tropfschlauch
Perlschlauch und Tropfschlauch sind Bezeichnungen für Wasserschläuche, die langsam in Tropfen Wasser abgeben. Ganz korrekt gibt ein Tropfschlauch eher einzelne Tropfen ab, ein Perlschlauch eher mehrere Tropfen aus einmal. Im Endeffekt ist dies aber egal und auch die Hersteller unterscheiden diese Begriffe nicht. Man kann also von der gleichen Funktion und Eignung von Perlschlauch und Tropfschlauch ausgehen.
Tipps zur Nutzung von Perlschläuchen
Perlschläuche vertragen keinen hohen Druck. Der Sinn ist ja gerade, dass das Wasser langsam aus dem Schlauch quillt, der naturgemäß auch nicht hochstabil sein kann, da er ja durchlässig sein muss. Die meisten Perlschläuche vertragen keinen Druck über 2 bar, meist sind 0,5 bar optimal. Da man mit dem Druck nicht „spaßen“ kann – sonst ist der Schlauch kaputt – haben manche Schläuche auch direkt einen Druckminderer integriert. Dies ist meist ein einfaches, manuelles Ventil im Schlauchadapter, was aber sehr wichtig ist. Andere Tropfschläuche haben dieses Ventil nicht, so dass man selbst beim Wasserdruck sehr gut aufpassen muss.
Wer einen Perlschlauch nutzt, braucht verhältnismäßig sauberes Wasser, damit die Poren des Schlauches nicht zugesetzt werden. Kommt das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn, ist dies ok. Kommt das Wasser aus der Regentonne, einem Brunnen oder aus anderen Quellen, ist ggfs. ein Filter einzusetzen, der das Wasser reinigt.
Ebenso sollte man vorab prüfen, ob der Schlauch auch explizit für die unterirdische Verlegung geeignet ist. Beim Verlegen in der Erde können die Poren verdrecken, wenn der Schlauch dafür nicht konzipiert ist. Ein Abdecken mit eher grobem Rindenmulch dagegen ist kein Problem. Bei den meisten Tropfschläuchen wird angegeben, dass diese für den Einsatz unter der Erde vorgesehen sind.
Damit sind dann Tiefen von 5 cm bis 20 cm gemeint. Tiefere Bodenschichten sind nicht geeignet, auch weil der Bodendruck dann zu hoch sein kann.
Neben der Verlegung im Boden können die Perlschläuche auch oberhalb verlegt werden. Teilweise werden Bodenanker mitgeliefert, bei denen die Tropfschläuchen dann in 10 cm Höhe aufgelegt werden können und so von oben bewässern.
Perlschläuche: Worauf Sie beim Kauf achten sollten
Die Informationen einiger Hersteller bzgl. ihrer Produkte sind nicht besonders umfangreich. Das macht die Auswahl eher schwierig. Denn die Schläuche können zahlreiche Materialeigenschaften haben wie UV-Beständigkeit, Frostsicherheit, Schadstoffe etc.
Die Druckregulierung ist ein wichtiges Thema. Manche Hersteller liefern direkt ein manuelles oder automatisches Druckventil mit, so dass man zu hohen Wasserdruck herunter-regulieren kann. Andernfalls muss man beim Wasserdruck sehr sicher sein und darf den Wasserhahn nicht auf Full-Power aufdrehen.
Die Mitlieferung eines direkten Anschlusses an den Wasserhahn ist auch sinnvoll, damit man direkt loslegen kann. Außer beim Kärcher Tropfschlauch ist dies auch überall der Fall.
Weiteres Zubehör wie weitere Endstücke, T-Stücke oder dergleichen werden nur im Ausnahmefall mitgeliefert. Diese können sinnvoll sein, wenn man den Schlauch in mehrere Stücke schneidet und eben nicht in Reihe verlegt. Sonst muss man sich dieses Zubehör mühsam – und teuer – zusammen kaufen.
Erweiterungen sind für alle Perlschläuche vorhanden. Bei den meisten Exemplaren können auch die Teile anderer Anbieter wie Gardena genutzt werden. Die Breiten sind nahezu standardisiert. Insofern gibt es bei keinem Anbieter oder Produkt Grenzen bei der Erweiterung.
Zum Schlauch selbst sind die Informationen oftmals sehr begrenzt. Nur Kärcher macht hier aus unserer Sicht einen guten Job.
